The « Vélittorale (EV8) » advance along the Mediterranean between Canet and Argelès-sur-Mer (Pyrénées-Orientales)

Departement: Pyrénées-Orientales Region: Languedoc-Roussillon
The Vélittorale, part of European Cycle Route EV8 (or Mediterranean), is a Cycle Route, built by the General Council of the Eastern Pyrenees along the sea. It is expected to reach more than 35km between Le Barcarès and Argelès-Plage .
In 2013 a first continuous length of 13km was opened between Le Barcarès and Canet-en-Roussillon, along the RD81. In 2015-2016 three new sections were opened in Greenway between Canet and Argelès-sur-Mer (total: + 10km).
But the work is unfinished and there are two large "cuts" without planning and without sign posting : crossing Canet-en-Roussillon (6km), and crossing St-Cyprien (3km).
You can cross these two seaside resorts along the waterfront promenades and marinas.
